Ori Chen is a Jazz pianist and composer based in Baltimore and New York City.
In the last few years she has been performing regularly in New- York, Europe and Israel. In 2025 she received a scholarship to attend the prestigious Tribeca Jazz Institute fellowship in New York city. In 2023 she graduated from The New School university in for Jazz and Contemporary Music, receiving the Dean’s award.
In 2023 Ori preformed at the Bern Jazz Festival with a quartet co-led by vocalist Noa Chait. In 2021, she has collaborated with acclaimed poet Lali Tzipi Michaeli establishing a line of Jazz and Poetry shows. She is also the first young artist to receive the Robin Hodes Jacobs Scholarship, an annual award granted by the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Playing the piano since the age of 6, Ori was trained in the classical world and was later drawn to Jazz by her natural ability for improvisation and her sense for storytelling.
She has studied under renowned Jazz artists such as Mike LeDonne, Hal Galper, Aaron Goldberg and many more.
Ori’s first EP with her trio, presenting her original compositions, is due to be released soon.
